We got in on the red-eye yesterday morning… and are still adjusting to our regularly scheduled lives…

Here are a few pix from the other side of the Big Island…

Glow from the active volcano vent at the Jaggar Museum…there is no spewing lava (that’s happening down the road at pu’u-o’o), but there is a constant plume of volcanic gasses which is most clearly seen at night.

What gorgeous pictures! Except those cans of Spam flavored macadamia nuts. OMG, I have never liked Spam but I know Hawaiians love there spam but really? Why flavor those naturally great flavored nuts? Although I do like chocolate covered ones, macadamians not Spam!

HA ha! I had to take a picture b/c I just couldn’t believe it myself! I am now hopelessly addicted to coconut macadamia nut candy popcorn… but not spam.

Really wonderful photo’s. I’ve never been to the big island, although would love to and Kona as well. The spouse and I are creatures of habit and always go to Oahu.

Kona is a fun city — and not too humid or buggy. :) I will have to ask for advice about where to go on Oahu — we’re going there in Februray. I’m so lucky my hubby *has* to go to cool places for his work! And that I get to go with him!
